Mission Statement
Islam is monotheistic religion teaching that there is only one incomparable God –
Allah and that Muhammad (PBUH) is the messenger of God. It is the world’s second-largest
religion and the fastest-growing major religion in the world. Islam teaches that
God is merciful, all-powerful and unique.
5 pillars of Islam
- Shahadah - There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God
- Salah - The five daily prayers (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha)
- Zakat - Alms 2.5% to the poor and needy
- Sawm - Fasting during the month of Ramadan
- Hajj - Pilgrimage to the Makkah and Madina
